Aviation Security Suite at DAA

Challenges

Handling over 31.5 million passengers a year from North America, Europe, India, New Zealand and the Middle East, the DAA is a renowned international airport organisation that serves Ireland’s capital city and beyond.

With over 3,600 employees, the DAA wanted a solution that could improve site security and increase employee transparency while on-site.

To help the DAA overcome these challenges, TDS designed and deployed a unique TDS Enterprise Suite that improved the movement of employees on site.

Process

The TDS Enterprise Suite deployed for the DAA was designed to offer highly stable, distributed and intelligent Access Control.

This customised and configured solution addressed the stringent and complex operational demands of an international airport. TDS Access operates a three-tier Access Control fail-secure solution protecting against host and database, communication and access point redundancy.

TDS have been working with the DAA for over 12 years to secure all terminals and access points and after a successful deployment at Dublin Airport, the DAA committed to deploying the Enterprise Suite at Cork Airport. Today, this provides an integrated security solution that is continuously developed to aid the DAA to operate more efficiently and securely.
