QR Codes: The Key to a Touchless Visitor Experience

QR Code bannerQR codes have been enhanced creating ease-of-use for users of many apps - but more importantly now, contactless visitor check-in. The Visitor experience has now been enhanced with the versatility of QR codes to change workplace management practices. Now, QR codes can make vital business processes quicker by automating check-in actions.

    A Shift Towards Contactless Procedures

With the recent disruption to daily life from the Covid-19 pandemic, TDS has enhanced the workflow capabilities of our TDS Visitor solution to provide global organisations with a contactless check-in procedure for back-to-work practices, preparing for a workplace post-pandemic.Screen Shot 2020-05-06 at 11.52.41

As we now know, limiting human contact is one sure way to slow down the spread of Covid-19. Creating a contactless experience across all industries is the way forward.

Compliance is crucial for businesses. But even the best policies will fail if measures are not in place to empower staff to maintain compliance. Using our contactless visitor workflows and QR codes make it simple for businesses to manage inspection procedures, particularly for itinerate workers.

Enhanced Visitor Functionality with QR Codes

QR codes are similar to barcodes in that the pattern of black squares and dots represents specific information that can be rapidly read and interpreted by smartphone cameras and actions taken based on that content. The size and nature of QR codes enables them to encrypt and hold a lot more information than the traditional barcode.

Because of this, QR codes have rapidly grown in popularity due to their ease of use and versatility. The QR code has now become a popular necessity for being one of the main factors for achieving a contactless experience at visitor check-in to a facility, office-space or large scale organisation due to the on-going restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Speeding up and Securing the Visitor Registration

With pre-registration, visitor invites and QR codes provided in visitor invites before the visitor's arrival on-site, this allows visitors to check-in safely, securely and quickly on arrival and receive a custom visitor badge with their details and photo.

Once registered on the TDS Visitor system your guests will receive a visitor badge or mobile credential containing a unique QR code. Each QR code is uniquely coded to provide access based on individual visitor profile, providing access within pre-defined zones for a pre-determined time frame. Simply scan your badge at designated access doors and go.

Covid-19 has forced many businesses to reconsider how they operate day to day in their offices. This, in turn, helps reduce the risk of Covid-19 spread within the workplace.Screen Shot 2020-05-06 at 12.03.06
